DARING EXPLORER
ĀTMAN
The ancestral soul, seen through others.
This collection shifts the gaze from the outer landscape to the inner one, not the individual “self” of modern identity, but the ancestral self, shaped by lineage, ritual, and centuries of collective memory.
ĀTMAN is an immersion into the human essence, revealed through some of its oldest expressions: bodies that bear cultural markers, faces that carry silent knowledge, gestures that transmit belonging without the need for language.
Through the lens of visual ethnography, this work honours embodied knowledge, that which is passed down orally, physically, or symbolically within indigenous and traditional communities.
Each image is a living trace of cultural continuity: ways of being that do not separate body from land, art from life, or spirituality from everyday existence.
ĀTMAN is about seeing the human soul where it has long resided, in practices that endure, in rituals that shape meaning, and in identities that survive the pressures of modernity.
It is an invitation to see ourselves in others, and to rediscover who we are through the deep mirror of our shared humanity.
